We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Information Assistant to join our newly-formed Intelligence and Analytics service. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the council, supporting a range of services through the provision of insightful data and analysis.
- Undertake the collation and analysis of raw data to ensure provision of regular reports on service activity and performance to managers and partners
- Respond to a variety of business requests by developing reports to provide data and information in support of operational and strategic decision making
- Work with analysts within the Intelligence and Analytics service to deliver data and intelligence in support of the delivery of key projects
- Support the delivery of reports and data returns to central government and regulators.
Proven expertise in MS Excel and relational databases using advanced techniques such as pivot tables and lookups, a great attention to detail, and an ability to work to tight deadlines are essential. Experience of using SQL and Business Objects would be an advantage. In addition we welcome applications from people that could bring knowledge of other tools and techniques (R, Python etc.) within an exciting and developing new team.
