Post Title: Senior Analyst

Salary: £31,585 – £42,758

Duration of contract: An initial 1 year contract is available for this post, with the possibility of extension beyond that period.

Location: iHub, Quarrywood Court, Livingston EH54 6AX. However, the post may also require travel throughout Scotland.

Hours: Standard working week is 36 hours, Monday to Friday. Hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager.

About the role

To support us to meet growing business demands, we are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual with the knowledge and creativity required to excel in a dynamic environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to directly influence the way data and evidence is used to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities in local communities across Scotland. This role will develop and lead statistical work to promote a better understanding of the pattern of outcomes and inequalities across Scotland and to strengthen the evidence base in relation to what works in improving outcomes and reducing inequalities.

Skilled at analysis and problem solving, with experience in managing a demanding range of projects, the post-holder will have comprehensive knowledge of core public sector data sets and relevant analytical techniques. The post-holder will contribute and provide support to the development and roll-out of analytical tools such as the Community Planning Outcomes Profile and the Local Government Benchmarking Framework. In addition, the post-holder will be adept at interrogating and presenting data and evidence to diverse audiences in a wide-range of accessible and user-friendly formats.
